Tealook

An independent reader's guide to reverse phone lookup, data brokers and the opt-outs that work.

The honest guide to reverse phone lookup

Reverse phone lookup, minus the sales pitch

Search for a stranger's phone number and you will meet a particular kind of website: a progress bar that pretends to scan "billions of records," then a paywall. Most of what sits behind that bar is the same recycled marketing data, sold to you at a markup.

Tealook exists to describe that machinery plainly. We explain where the names come from, what a free search really finds, and how to get your own number out of the files. Our small tool is deliberately modest. It reads the area code and tells you the region, the time zone and any warning signs. It does not claim to know who is calling.

We say what lookup cannot do

Our tool reads the area code. Owner names live in private databases that we do not run.

Opt-outs before upsells

Taking your number off broker sites costs nothing. We show you where to click.
