Terms of use

By using Tealook you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Last updated: October 6, 2026.

  1. Information only. Everything here, including the articles and the number reader, is provided for general information. The reader matches area codes to regions and time zones from a list we maintain. It does not identify who owns a number, which carrier serves it or whether a call is safe. Do not rely on it to decide anything important.
  2. What you may not do. You may not use the site, or anything you learn from it, to harass, stalk, threaten, defraud or surveil another person. You may not try to overload the service, scrape it at a rate that harms other readers or probe it for security weaknesses.
  3. Results about other people. The number reader shows facts about area codes, and our articles discuss lookup reports from other companies. Neither is a screening file. Do not use anything from this site to make decisions about hiring, housing, credit or insurance, and do not use it to find, contact or confront a private person who does not want to be found.
  4. Using our articles. You may read, link to and briefly quote our pages, and a short excerpt with a link back to the page is fine. Please do not copy full articles onto another site, present them as your own, or remove the date and author line. We revise articles when rules change, and a stale copy can mislead readers.
  5. No accounts and no contributions. There are no accounts on Tealook, and we do not publish reader comments or accept user uploads, so there is nothing for you to post or for us to moderate.
  6. No warranties. We work to keep the pages correct and dated, but we cannot promise they are complete, current or free of mistakes. Area code boundaries, carrier practices, phone menus and government rules change. The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
  7. Links to other sites. We link to agencies, phone makers and other organizations as sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
  8. Limit of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tealook and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss that arises from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from your reliance on information published here. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this clause may not apply to you.
  9. Not legal advice. Nothing on Tealook is legal advice. If you have a legal question about a call, a message or a person contacting you, talk to a qualified lawyer.
  10. Corrections. We aim to fix factual errors quickly. If you find one, write to [email protected] or use the contact form and quote the sentence. We cannot promise that we will agree with every correction request, but we check each against the primary source and change the page when it is right. Corrected pages show a new updated date.
  11. Governing law and changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established. We may update them, and the date at the top will show when. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
  12. Severability and the whole agreement. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms, together with the privacy policy and the disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and the operator about your use of the site. Not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
  13. Contact. Questions about these terms can go to [email protected] or through the contact page.
